How should polyurethane sealant be stored?
Nov 17, 2025
Polyurethane sealant has the following characteristics:
1. High strength: Tensile strength can reach 4-8 MPa, suitable for structural bonding;
2. Good shape retention: Zero sagging on vertical surfaces, good support, suitable for vehicle assembly;
3. Good stability: Stable quality, performance, batch, and storage conditions ensure reliable use;
4. Good elasticity: Excellent resilience, low hardness, easy to disassemble;
5. No particles: Clean adhesive, suitable for external edge sealing processes;
6. Fast curing: Vehicles can be moved after assembly, and it can be sold the day after assembly in winter.
Due to these advantages, Polyurethane sealant is increasingly widely used in automotive glass repair and maintenance. However, many automotive glass service providers and 4S car dealerships do not pay enough attention to the storage of polyurethane sealant, leading to product performance damage and affecting the sealant's effectiveness and lifespan.
