Product Development Of Aerosol Insecticides

Oct 02, 2025

Sanitary aerosol insecticides (hereinafter referred to as aerosol insecticides) have experienced rapid development since their first successful development in my country in 1982, due to their unique advantages such as good killing effect, ease of carrying, use, storage, rapid and accurate effect. Statistics from 1992 show that my country's total annual production of insecticidal aerosols reached 50 million cans. With the rapid development of insecticidal aerosols, product quality has received increasing attention. However, how to correctly evaluate the quality of insecticidal aerosol products? Most producers, distributors, and users often simply evaluate product quality based on its biological effects, neglecting many other important factors affecting product quality. We all know that aerosol technology is a multidisciplinary technology. From the perspective of the overall aerosol product, it is not simply the sum of the container, valve, propellant, and active insecticidal ingredient; it also involves the effectiveness, safety, and economy of use, and must comply with the World Health Organization (WHO) regulations on insecticide toxicity. Therefore, regarding the quality of aerosol insecticide products, we should comprehensively evaluate them from three aspects: physicochemical properties, biological effects, and safety.
