Functional Classification Of Car Care Products
Oct 13, 2025
Traditional car maintenance typically involves only changing the engine oil and fuel filter. Since 1999, my country has stipulated that no car manufacturer can produce carburetor vehicles; all vehicles must be manufactured with electronic fuel injection systems. Consequently, maintenance products specifically designed for these vehicles have emerged. These products can be categorized by function: cleaning, protective, promoting, leak-stopping, and repairing.
Cleaning Products: Added to fluids, these products can perform non-disassembly cleaning of specific systems (such as cooling or lubrication systems) or assemblies (such as transmissions).
Protective Products: Added to fluids, these products can clean, prevent corrosion and rust, and extend the lifespan of assemblies and components.
Promoting Products: Added to fuel, these products can improve fuel performance, promote combustion, increase combustion efficiency, save fuel, enhance engine power, and reduce emissions.
Leak-Stopping Products: Added to the cooling, lubrication, or transmission systems, these products can stop leaks in these systems.
Repair products: Adding these products to lubricating oil can modify its performance, reduce engine friction, and extend engine life.
